A huge fire with a cloud of black smoke was seen in the skies of Bahrain after Iranian retaliate missiles struck at the Bapco Oil refinery in the early hours of Monday, March 9. According to reports, injuries were also reported in the Sitra area after Iran attacks.
Bapco is Bahrain’s main oil refinery and a key facility in the country’s energy sector. These renewed attacks occurred after Tehran chose its new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei in the middle of the ongoing war with the US and Israel in the Middle East.
Earlier, black rain was reported in Iran after thick smoke had filled the sky over Tehran after an Israeli missile struck oil facilities for the first time since the war began on February 28, killing at least four people in the incident.
The death toll in Iran rose to 1,300 people in Iran and about 300 in Lebanon. The strike on Saturday caused a huge fire as they hit four oil storage facilities and oil production transfer centre in Tehran and Alborz province.
