A massive fire erupted at Kuwait International Airport in the early hours of Wednesday, March 25, after an Iranian drone allegedly struck the oil storage. The country's General Civil Aviation Authority confirmed that the drones triggered a blaze.

However, Abdullah Al Rajhi, Official spokesperson, said the damage to the structure is limited and that no injuries or casualties were reported in the incident. Speaking to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), he said the emergency crew, along with firefighting teams, is at the site.

A video surfaced on the internet shows a huge plume of black smoke rising from the area, which is visible from certain miles. Air defences were active, and while the fire is being brought under control, it shows Iran is now going after fuel and energy targets all across the Gulf.

The airport for travellers continue to shut while the latest drone attack by Iran has made that reality harder to reverse.  Since February 28 the second leg of war between Iran, Israel and US began, Tehran continue retaliate while targeting US military bases in Middle East. The UAE has temporarily closed its airspace as a precautionary measure following drone attacks.
