Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Sunday, March 1, released the first drone footage of airstrikes claiming 'Iranian terror regime' in the heart of Tehran since Operation ‘Roaring Lion’ began with joint attacks with the US. IDF claimed that the 11-seconds ariel footage in black-and-white is of “headquarters of the Iranian terror regime.”

The shared video by the IDF shows two buildings in the Iranian capital Tehran being destroyed from airstrikes by the US-Israel or Israel has not confirmed by Israel military in a post on X.

However, it is not confirmed by the IDF whether the targeted Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei's residences or his headquarters were attacked in these strikes, killing Khamenei. Follow Live Updates on US-Iran War Here

"WATCH: For the first time since the start of Operation ‘Roaring Lion’, the IAF is striking targets belonging to the Iranian terror regime in the heart of Tehran," IDF said in a post on X while sharing drone footage which shows explosions near the highway, which is hitting compounds and buildings in the capital of Iran.

"Over the past day, the IAF conducted large-scale strikes to establish aerial superiority and pave the path to Tehran," said IDF in a  post further. Earlier, the military said it was carrying out a wave of extensive strikes against “targets of the Iranian terror regime in the heart of Tehran.”

Meanwhile, multiple explosions were heard in Tehran after multiple fresh attacks by Israel military in coordination with US forces on Sunday, a day after launching joint airstrikes with the US, resulting in the killing of Ali Khamenei and senior leaders of the Iranian government. 

"The IDF is striking targets that belong to the Iranian terror regime in the heart of Tehran. Over the past day, the Israeli Air Force conducted large-scale strikes in order to establish aerial superiority and to pave the path to Tehran," the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) said.

The blasts were reportedly heard in northern Tehran. A video shared on X shows a huge explosion causing a huge plume of black smoke emanate from a building into the sky. 

The fresh attacks from Israel come after Iran's military threatened to take avenge Khamenei's death and launched missiles in the Middle East, including in the UAE, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Qatar, and Bahrain.

"The most ferocious offensive operation in the history of the Islamic Republic of Iran's armed forces will begin any moment now," the Iran's Revolutionary Guards posted on Telegram, adding it will target the "occupied territories and American terrorist bases" in the region.
