The conflict between Hamas and Israel seems unending, with no apparent willingness from either side to pursue peace. The hostilities initiated on October 7 by the Hamas militant group. Despite an initial agreement for a ceasefire, it was not adhered to, leading to continued confrontations. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who has consistently resisted international calls for a ceasefire, declared that there are no plans to halt the hostilities.

On Monday, Israeli PM Netanyahu visited Israeli troops in northern Gaza, asserting his commitment to persist in the fight against Hamas militants. He dispelled media speculation about a potential government ceasefire, stating, "We are not stopping. The war will continue until the end, until we finish it, no less," as reported by Reuters.

As Israeli operations intensify, the death toll has been steadily rising, surpassing 20,600 Palestinians, with nearly the entire territory affected and around 2.3 million people displaced. The U.S. has consistently urged Israel to establish safe areas and minimize harm to civilians. In contrast, Netanyahu has emphasized Israel's aim to apply military pressure to secure the release of remaining hostages held by Hamas.
