Los Angeles Fire Department crew rushed to the spot and doused the fire in the attic of the Magic Castle, a historic and iconic structure, in Hollywood. According to the Los Angeles Times, a fire was reported at around 5.28 pm on Tuesday.
LA firefighters using a chopper jumped onto the terrace of the world-famous Magic Castle for the firefighting operations. The Los Angeles Fire Department said a team of 68 firefighters were involved in the operation and controlled the blaze at around 6.09 pm, which has prevented flames from spreading to other structures in the region.
Aerial news video showed firefighters walking on the roof of the building, where light smoke was rising through the ceiling.
However, no injuries or casualties were reported in the incident. The damage to the 117-year-old building is still uncertain. Roof work on the terrace of the building is a possible cause of fire.
