Passengers at Dubai International Airport were asked to take shelter on Tuesday morning, March 10, after the UAE air defence system activated sirens warning of incoming missiles and drone fire by Iran in retaliation against US-Israel attacks.

A video shared by NDTV shows people walking towards bomb shelters, and the check-in counters were also deserted as no queue of passengers was seen.

Flight tracking website Flightradar24 data suggest the arrival flights were halted at the time of the attack near the cities of Fujairah and Al-Ain. According to NDTV, operations at the airport were resumed after 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that the United States and Israel "thought they would change the regime within two days" and that Iran is prepared "to continue the missile attack as long as required and at any time the need arises", and stated, "Negotiations are no longer on the agenda."

Flight ops at Dubai airport were also temporarily suspended on Saturday after a drone crashed near one of the airport's terminals during an aerial interception linked to ongoing attacks attributed to Iran.
