A five-alarm fire broke out in a warehouse in Queens, New York on Friday, April 10. After receiving the information, the New York City Fire Department (FDNY) rushed to the spot. Firefighters are battling a massive blaze.

The incident occurred in a 1-story warehouse commercial building located at 130-17 23rd Ave near College Point. FDNY shared a video saying, "units are operating at a 4-alarm fire at 20-85 130 Street in Queens."

The cause of the fire is still uncertain and will be investigated once the cooling operation is complete. However, no injuries were reported in the following incident as of now.  Authorities have not released further information, and the situation is still developing.

The New York City Emergency Management issued a statement earlier asking citizens to avoid the area as traffic and smoke in the area are expected. The NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene advised citizens to "avoid smoke exposure from structural fires by closing windows while indoors and reducing outdoor activity where smoke is present."
