The Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia denied reports of the death of an Indian national in an Al Kharj attack on Sunday. Several media reports stated that an Indian national, among two killed after a projectile missile fired by Iran in retaliation for US-Israel attacks, struck a residential building belonging to a maintenance and cleaning company. 

Meanwhile, the Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia said, "There has been no  Indian fatality" which is a matter of relief. The Embassy said it has been in constant touch with the "concerned Saudi authorities regarding this issue."

"Counsellor (CW) Y. Sabir visited Al Kharj last night and met the injured Indian national involved in this unfortunate incident. He is currently receiving treatment at a government hospital in Al Kharj," the Indian Embassy wrote in a post on X.

The General Directorate of Saudi Civil Defence said two Bangladeshi nationals died after the direct fall of a military projectile on a residential site in Al-Kharj Governorate. It also stated that 12 Bangladeshi among one Indian national was injured in the incident.

India Issues Advisory for Citizens in Saudi Arabia

Amid the ongoing war between Iran and the US-Israel, the  Embassy of India in Riyadh issued an advisory urging Indian nationals in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA)  to remain vigilant and follow safety guidelines issued by local authorities.

"All Indian nationals currently in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are advised to remain vigilant, strictly adhere to the safety guidelines prevalent in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and follow advisories issued by the local authorities and the Embassy," the embassy said.

The embassy stated its operations in Riyadh and the Consulate General of India in Jeddah continue to function normally, along with outsourced services through VFS. Officials said consular camps are also being organised regularly.

Saudi Arabia Flight Services

The Indian Embassy has confirmed that both Indian and Saudi airlines have resumed normal airport operations in Jeddah and Madinah. Those who wish to return to India can use these flights after checking seat availability.
