Prime Minister Narendra Modi's flight to Paris passed through Pakistani airspace on its route. The Prime Minister's Aircraft traversed areas including Sheikhpura, Hafizabad, Chakwal, and Kohat in Pakistan, remaining within Pakistani territory for approximately 46 minutes.

As reported by ARY News, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's flight was granted permission to pass through Pakistani airspace due to the closure of Afghanistan's airspace. This is not the first instance of Modi utilizing Pakistani airspace; in August 2024, a flight from Poland to Delhi also traversed Pakistan. Modi's aircraft entered Pakistani territory around 11 pm and remained there for approximately 46 minutes.

Pakistan-India Air RelationsIn March 2019, Pakistan lifted airspace restrictions for civil flights, which had been in place for nearly five months following the military conflict between India and Pakistan. The restrictions were imposed after a terrorist attack on an Indian paramilitary convoy in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district killed 44 Indian officers. However, the tensions escalated further in August 2019 when the Indian government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, revoked Articles 370 and 35A from Jammu and Kashmir, leading Pakistan to downgrade diplomatic ties with India. This move also resulted in the suspension of bilateral trade between the two nations. Since then, relations between India and Pakistan have remained strained.

Prime Minister Modi's Visit to FrancePrime Minister Narendra Modi is currently on a two-day visit to France, where he met with French President Emmanuel Macron. Later, he attended the AI Summit, a global event that brought together top leaders from various countries.
