Noida (Gautam Buddha Nagar) [India], February 20 : With each thread, a new story unfolds, turning yarn into stunning textiles from garments to wall hangings.

Weaving into India's thriving economy, the textile industry has created vast opportunities at home and abroad..

As India nears a USD 5 trillion economy, aiming for USD 7 trillion by 2030, the sector is poised for rapid growth and innovation.

To drive the textile industry toward its growth targets, Delhi hosted Bharat Tex, India's largest textile trade fair, showcasing the latest innovations and advancements.

The event also brought together global leaders in textile technology and engineering for a transformative experience.

In an interview with ANI, CEO and Founder of TORAJAMELO of Indonesia, Dinny Jusuf, said "I believe India is at the forefront of the textile industry, with exceptional capacity and expertise in natural fibers and dyes. That's why I have come to Indiato learn from its rich heritage that spans hundreds of years. India has both the resources and the knowledge, which are lacking in Indonesia."

Visitors explored a diverse range of fabrics, from traditional cotton, silk, and wool to innovative jute and eco-friendly textiles, blending heritage with modern advancements.

Bhawna, a visitor, said, "It's actually pretty nice here. I have seen a variety of garments, textiles, and different manufacturers, as well as exporters from various places."

Ashish, another visitor, told ANI, "This is India's growth story, and it is a collaborative one. It is not just about India alonethe entire world is coming together. This progress is driven by our Prime Minister's vision and leadership, under which our textile industry is expanding rapidly."

According to the India Brand Equity Foundation, India's textiles and apparel market is projected to grow at a 10 per cent CAGR, reaching USD 350 billion by 2030. As the world's third-largest textile and apparel exporter, India ranks among the top five in several categories, with exports expected to hit USD 100 billion.

Founder and CEO, Khumaar Enterprises, Shuchi Bhutani, said "The response has been great. We have been working in the textile industry for the past seven years domestically, and now we are expanding internationally. Recently, we also participated in runway shows at London Fashion Week, which is a significant step towards showcasing India on the global stage. The response has been very positive, and people are truly appreciating and embracing it."

From intricate handlooms to advanced manufacturing, India remains a global leader. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visionary policies have propelled the industry into a new era of innovation and global prominence.

PM Modi said, "This sector contributes 11 per cent to India's manufacturing output. In this year's budget, you must have noticed that we have emphasised Mission Manufacturing, and you all are part of it. That is why when investments are coming into this sector and it is growing, millions of textile workers are benefiting from it."

As India enters a new era of economic prosperity, the textile industry leads with growth, sustainability, and innovation, shaping a dynamic future. Evolving continuously, it weaves progress into society, driving resilience and prosperity for tomorrow.
