The US Central Command (USCC) forces said that they had destroyed several Iranian naval vessels, including 16 minelayers near the Strait of Hormuz in Iran, a key shipping route through which about 20% of the world’s oil passes, on Tuesday, March 10 a day after US President warning Tehran of several consequences if it block oil, which has severely created crisis across the world He state he will not allow "even a single liter" to reach its enemies.

President Donald Trump, in a post on social media, stated that there were no reports that Iran had planted explosives in the waterway. USCC released visuals along with unclassified footage of some of the vessels. Earlier, Trump said it will hit Iran "20 times harder" than ever before if it did not allow oil transport ships and failed to remove any mines.

The strikes were part of military action in the country on Tuesday, with US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth warning it would be the "most intense" day of strikes thus far. An Iranian official told BCC that the people of the country are not scared of what he called "worthless threats" by President Donald Trump. He said that in the last 24 hours, Iran has fired the lowest number of missiles since the start of the war.
