Montana Senator Tim Sheehy accidently broke the hand of former Marine Sergeant Brian McGuinness while helping the Capitol police to throw him out for protesting against US military action in Iran. Sheehy, who is also a former Navy SEAL officer, was seen in the viral video pushing McGuinness with police while his hand was stuck in the corridors.
The disturbing video of the incident that surfaced online shows McGinnis shouting as officers forcefully pull him to remove him from the room. He can be heard yelling, "No one wants to fight for Israel!" while holding the corridor of the room. People present in the room reacted in the viral video, saying, "His hand, his hand! Oh! His hand! Oh, my God. Oh, shit," one person shouts. Officers can be heard telling him: "Sir. Sir. Sir. Let go of your hand. Let go of the door. Let go. Let go."

Sheehy, who is a Republican, wrote on X, “Capitol Police were attempting to remove an unhinged protestor from the Armed Services hearing. He was fighting back. I decided to help out and de-escalate the situation.”
He added, “This gentleman came to the Capitol looking for a confrontation, and he got one. I hope he gets the help he needs without causing further violence.”
Sheehy shared the video posted by Alan He, who covers Capitol news for CBS. “Senator Sheehy joined Capitol Police in lifting and ejecting anti war protestor Brian McGinnis from a SASC subcommittee hearing. McGinnis is a Green Party candidate running for Senate in N.C. An antiwar activist filmed the video below,” the journalist noted.
