US surpasses 200,000 cases, death toll reaches 4,477

The death toll from coronavirus in the United States has reached 4,477, while the number of cases rose to 203,608 on Wednesday, according to Johns Hopkins University.

Washington [US], Apr 02 : The death toll from coronavirus in the United States has reached 4,477, while the number of cases rose to 203,608 on Wednesday, according to Johns Hopkins University.

As many as 8,362 people have recovered from the deadly virus.

The total number of cases as of 2:45 p.m. EST (6:45 p.m. GMT) rose to 203,608, which is the world's highest number of infections. At least 4,476 people have died from the disease, the tracker showed, while 8,362 recovered.
