Iran launched a retaliatory strike following the U.S attack on Kharg Island, home to Iran's oil terminals. Following which a major attack has struck the U.S embassy located within the Baghdad's "Green Zone" an area considered the city's most secure district.  As per the reports of Iraqi officials, attack involved a missile targeting the helipad situated within the embassy compound. Immediately after the strike, plumes of black smoke were seen rising from the embassy grounds, triggering widespread panic across the area. Additionally, a suicide drone reportedly targeted the U.S. Embassy's radar system.

Videos shared by locals shows a devastating visuals of the smoke billowing from the embassy compound.  However, the United States has not yet officially confirmed any casualties or structural damage within the embassy premises. This attack is believed to be part of a series of similar incidents. The embassy assault is seen as a direct challenge to the Trump administration.
