Iranian drones and missiles targeted Israel’s Iron Dome defence system, with some missiles appearing to bypass interception and strike Jerusalem, Tel Aviv-Yafo, Haifa and other regions in central Israel. A video that is going viral shows an Iranian cluster warhead missile in the night sky, hitting multiple locations on Thursday, April 2, causing damage to infrastructure, but no reports on casualties or injuries.

According to Magen David Adom, Israel’s emergency service, medical teams were dispatched to 10 sites where missiles struck. The damage included residential buildings, roads and parked vehicles.

Reports suggest the missile approached from the direction of Tel Aviv. Israel reportedly launched 12 interceptor missiles, but the Iranian cluster warhead evaded them and reached its target. The brief 28-second mid-air sequence has been captured on camera.

However, the footage has not been verified by LokmatTimes.com.

Meanwhile, a US intelligence assessment indicates that despite weeks of strikes by the US and Israel, nearly half of Iran’s missile launchers remain operational. The report suggests that some launchers may have been moved underground and are not currently in use or not been destroyed.

Sources also said that around 50% of Iran’s drone capability remains intact. In addition, several coastal defence cruise missile systems are believed to be operational. While US airstrikes have avoided coastal bases, maritime targets have reportedly been hit.

These capabilities give Iran leverage to threaten shipping routes in the Strait of Hormuz, a key global oil corridor. The Iranian military has stated that operations will continue until its adversaries surrender. According to Al Jazeera, Iranian officials said they would continue the conflict with full force and resist any pressure. Iran has also warned the US of a strong response in case of any ground offensive.
