'You're a fighter': PM Modi after UK counterpart Boris Johnson tests positive for COVID-19

After Boris Johnson was tested positive for the novel coronavirus, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday called his British counterpart a "fighter" and tweeted his "good health and best wishes" to the UK leader.

New Delhi [India], Mar 27 : After Boris Johnson was tested positive for the novel coronavirus, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday called his British counterpart a "fighter" and tweeted his "good health and best wishes" to the UK leader.

"Dear PM @BorisJohnson, You're a fighter and you will overcome this challenge as well. Prayers for your good health and best wishes in ensuring healthy UK," Modi tweeted.

Earlier today, Johnson had revealed that he was tested positive for the virus after he showed mild symptoms of COVID-19.

He tweeted, "Over the last 24 hours I have developed mild symptoms and tested positive for coronavirus. I am now self-isolating, but I will continue to lead the government's response via video-conference as we fight this virus. Together we will beat this. #StayHomeSaveLives."

Johnson, in a press brief, on March 3 revealed that he was shaking hands with the coronavirus positive patients at London hospitals.

He said, "I can tell you I am shaking hands continuously. I was at a hospital last night, where there were few coronavirus patients and I shook hands with almost everybody."
