As summer begins, skin-related issues tend to increase. Sweat, dust, excess oiliness, and exposure to sunlight can cause the face to appear dull and lackluster. During such times, taking proper care of your skin is absolutely essential. Using a scrub is a crucial part of this skincare routine.  Scrubbing helps remove dead skin cells, cleanses the pores, and restores a natural glow to the face. However, choosing the right type of scrub and using it correctly is equally important.

The first scrub is the Sugar and Honey Scrub. This scrub provides gentle exfoliation to the skin while also helping to retain moisture. To prepare this, take one teaspoon of sugar and one teaspoon of honey. Mix the two ingredients together and gently massage the mixture onto your face using circular motions. After scrubbing for two to three minutes, rinse your face thoroughly with plain water. This scrub is particularly beneficial for people with dry skin. However, if you have very sensitive skin, be sure to apply and use it with an extremely gentle touch.

The second scrub is the Coffee and Milk Scrub. Coffee helps reduce skin tanning and pigmentation, while milk provides a cooling effect and keeps the skin soft. To prepare this scrub, take one teaspoon of coffee powder and one to two teaspoons of milk. Apply this mixture to your face and scrub gently. After five minutes, rinse it off with water. This scrub is highly beneficial for oily and combination skin types, especially for reducing the darkening caused by sun exposure.

The third scrub is the Oats and Milk Scrub. This scrub is extremely gentle on the skin and serves as an excellent option for those with sensitive skin. To prepare this, take two teaspoons of oats—lightly crush them if necessary—and mix in enough milk to form a smooth paste. Apply this paste to your face and massage it gently. Afterward, thoroughly wash your face with lukewarm water. This scrub not only cleanses the skin but also provides it with nourishment.

There are certain points to keep in mind when using a scrub. Scrubbing two to three times a week is sufficient; scrubbing too frequently can cause the skin to become dry or sensitive. Avoid applying excessive pressure while scrubbing, as this may lead to swelling or redness on the skin. It is essential to always apply a moisturizer after scrubbing to ensure the skin remains hydrated. Overall, with proper skincare during the summer season, one can maintain a clean and radiant complexion. Homemade scrubs serve as simple, cost-effective, and safe options. By selecting the right scrub and using it correctly, we can naturally preserve the beauty of our skin.
