Eid-ul-Fitr, the festival of joy and togetherness, is loading and set to bring festive cheer across the country. Markets are bustling with shoppers, some purchasing traditional sweets like seviyan, while others buy Eidi gifts for children. Ramadan Eid 2025, celebrated at the end of the holy month of Ramzan, is one of the most significant festivals for Muslims worldwide, while the date of Eid-ul-Fitr 2025 will depend on the sighting of the crescent moon of Shawwal month, which is the 10th month according to the Islamic calendar. While Ramzan Eid is observed with great enthusiasm across India, certain cities stand out for their grand celebrations. Here are some of the best places in India to experience the beauty and spirit of Eid.

Jama Masjid in Old Delhi becomes a major gathering point, where thousands come together for Eid prayers, exchanging greetings and embraces afterward. The bustling streets around Jama Masjid remain lively throughout Ramadan, with food stalls offering everything from sweet seviyan to delicious kebabs and biryani. The markets in Chandni Chowk also see a surge of shoppers preparing for the festival.

Mumbai:

Mumbai, the financial capital of India, embraces Eid with enthusiasm. One of the most prominent prayer gatherings takes place at Azad Maidan in South Mumbai, where thousands offer their prayers. Mosques across the city are beautifully illuminated for the occasion. Food lovers flock to Mohammed Ali Road and Khau Gali, known for their lip-smacking food. Devotees also visit the iconic Haji Ali Dargah, a landmark of faith and spirituality in the city.

Srinagar:

Eid in Srinagar, the capital of Jammu and Kashmir, is a special affair. The grand Eid prayers at the famous Hazratbal Shrine bring together large crowds. Tourists visiting Srinagar during Eid get a chance to witness and participate in the festivities alongside the locals. Lal Chowk, Regal Chowk, and Goni Market remain crowded throughout Ramadan, offering a vibrant shopping experience.
