Hair is one of the important factor which glorifies once beauty, However, nowadays, various hair problems are evolving  due to increasing pollution, temperature, nutritional deficiency or some diseases. Many of them apply hair dye to enhance the beauty of their hair. People apply different colors on their hair to make the look different. This colored hair gives a stylish look, but if some things are not taken care of while dyeing hair, it also causes hair damage. A small mistake can cause problems like hair loss and hair breakage. In such a situation, let's know what mistakes you should not make if you are also dyeing your hair.

What do experts say?

Renowned celebrity dermatologist Dr. Rashmi Shetty recently appeared on a podcast hosted by popular entrepreneur Ranveer Allahabadia, where she shared valuable insights about the side effects of hair coloring. Dr. Shetty clarified that dyeing your hair isn’t inherently harmful, but choosing the right shade is crucial to maintaining hair health. “It’s not wrong to dye your hair,” she said. “But it’s very important to select the correct shade.”

According to her, whenever you plan to color your hair, you should always opt for a shade that is darker than your natural hair color. “Never choose a lighter shade,” she advised. “Using a lighter hair dye reduces the diameter of the hair, making it thinner and more prone to breakage.”

She added that many people complain their hair used to be thick, but after dyeing, it has become thinner and more fragile. Hair fall also tends to increase—an issue often linked to the use of lighter shades. “To avoid such problems, always choose a hair dye that is one to two shades darker than your natural hair color. It will not only enhance your look but also help keep your hair healthy,” she concluded
