Kishor Indukuri, an alumnus of IIT, has taken a bold decision to quit his high-paying job in the US only to return to India and by 20 cows. But today he is earning Rs 44 crore a year.

Born into a middle class family in India, Indukuri completed his IIT from Kharagpur and then went to the University of Massachusetts in Amherst to complete his Masters and PhD in Polymer Science and Engineering. After completing his education, he got a well-paying job.

However, after six years in the job, he realized that he had real love for agriculture and began to think about it. Kishor who originally hails from Karnataka used to visit there occasionally and discuss with his father. However, in 2012, he finally quit his job in the United States and returned to India.  Initially he stayed in Hyderabad and did research on milk. He realized how difficult it is to get safe and hygienic milk in his city.

'I quit my job to do farming. I lived in Hyderabad. There I realized how difficult it is to get cheap and clean milk. I wanted to change this and that change was not just for my son, my family, but for the citizens of Hyderabad, "Indukuri told Yourstory.com.

After research, he started his own dairy in Hyderabad and bought 20 cows from Coimbatore. He started the business on a membership basis and his customer base grew. In 2016, he registered his own company called 'Sid's Farm'.Today, Sid's Farm' has more than 10,000 customers and 120 employees. He earns Rs 44 crore a year. He initially invested Rs 1 crore in the business."Yes, it was not an easy journey. Initially I bought 20 cows and went to the customer's house to deliver the milk. My family helped me a lot in this endeavor. I invested all my savings in it and my family helped me too.They showed faith in me, "said Indukuri.
