California [USA], Mar 14 : As the coronavirus pandemic spreads in Hollywood, talent agencies have shut down their offices and in the fashion and beauty world, malls and stores are navigating decisions about new best practices to keep the disease away.

A shopping mall in LA called 'The Grove and Beverly Center' has added more hand stizing stations, while Glossier, a cosmetic store, is closing all stores: "We are ready to put public health before our results."

The millennial beauty brand Glossier has made the tough call to close all of its stores located in L.A., New York, Atlanta and London, for two weeks and opening of Glossier Arizona, scheduled for March 18, has been postponed, as per The Hollywood reproter,

The founder and CEO of the cosmetics company 'Glossier', Emily Weiss wrote in an Instagram post: "we've made the decision to close all of our temporary and permanent retail locations for at least two weeks starting tomorrow, Friday, March 13th. It wasn't an easy choice, but I know it's the right one and I wrote some thoughts about it on our company blog (link in bio) if you want to read more. It's time to connect with us and with each other online--through Instagram, Glossier.com, or an interaction with our gTEAM. See you there!"

And following Glossier's lead, Heyday skin-care closed its L.A., New York and Philadelphia facial centers on Friday. "In light of the recent COVID-19 situation, Heyday is dedicated to putting our people and clients first. We feel this is a responsible and necessary measure to keep our communities safe during this time," the brand wrote on Instagram.

Skin-care label Kiehl's has canceled its L.A. launch event scheduled for March 24. A representative told The Hollywood reporter:"After closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation on a daily basis, our team has made the decision to cancel."

As for its brick and mortar stores across L.A., Kiehl's has been stizing multiple times a day and discontinued several in-store services including its facial menu by offering coupons for customers to reschedule in the future. The brand has also made online shipping free through March 31 in order to encourage social distancing from home.
