Ramzan, is one of the holiest month in the entire year according to Islamic tradition. The Muslim community across the world observe fasts and celebrate Ramzan 2020. People who fast have to eat before sunrise (Suhoor or Sehri) and then have to fast throughout the day. In the evening, people break their fasts after sunset with a meal called 'Iftar'.

Make sure that your Sehri meal is wholesome that will provide you enough energy to last during the long hours of fasting.Here are some of the foods that you can eat during Sehri which is the pre-dawn meal: 

Fruits and vegetables: These are the best food items as they are rich in fibre and also they increase the feeling of fullness and help prevent constipation. Fruits and veggies have vitamins, minerals and phytochemicals which is good for your health.

Rice: You can also include high-fibre carbohydrate foods like brown rice and wholemeal bread take longer to digest, this way it will help to sustain your energy levels.

Meat and alternatives: Chicken, fish and low-fat dairy products are the best source as it will help build your immune system as well as keep you full. Consuming high-calcium dairy products also helps maintain strong bones.
