Mumbai, July 2 Actor Shivam Bhaargava has revealed that he became a part of Akasa and Raftaars song "Naiyyo" because of his social media post.

The narrative of "Naiyyo" is about a demanding girlfriend (played by Akasa), craving for attention, and Shivam as her boyfriend.

"I had made a small skit in which I played the role of a confused and bechara boyfriend, who didn't know what his girlfriend wanted from him. It was a cute and funny skit and Akasa saw it on my Instagram. That's exactly what they were looking for - a 'bechara boyfriend', who was always confused because his girlfriend never said what she wanted," Shivam said.

"Immediately, Akasa suggested (my name) for it. In the past, I've worked with Vishal Handa, the director of the music video. He also chimed in to have me on board," he added.

Talking about the video of the song, he said: "I love the music video, the colours, feel, the way it was shot. The story of the song is the most common thing that happens between two people in a relationship. I think it's quite apt and I enjoyed doing it."
