Preparations involve discussions about service, rituals, and necessary arrangements. On this day, millions dedicate themselves to special acts of service and worship. While individual devotion and family traditions guide the worship, certain items and practices are considered essential.

How to prepare for Swami's Worship?
On the Prakat Din of Shree Swami Samarth Maharaj, special worship of Swami should be performed. The worship should be conducted using either the Shodashopchar (sixteen-step ritual) or Panchopchar (five-step ritual) method. If you wish to offer Panchamrut (a sacred mixture of five ingredients) to Swami, ensure that milk, yogurt, sugar, clarified butter (ghee), and honey are included in your worship materials.
Additionally, you should have a Chaurang (a low wooden stool), a yellow cloth to drape over it, a Paat (a small wooden seat), a vessel for Abhishek. If you intend to perform one, and standard worship utensils such as a Tambya (water pot), Tamhan (ritual plate), and Pali-Panchapatri (ritual spoon and cup set). Offerings such as a Shriphal (coconut), Vida (betel leaf preparation), five different types of fruits, and fresh flowers should also be arranged. Furthermore, preparations should be made for Dhup (incense), Deep (ritual lamp), Kapur (camphor), and Aarti.
One must definitely offer yellow flowers to Swami Maharaj. To this end, gather and keep ready a variety of yellow-colored flowers. If you are able to procure Sonchafa (Champak) flowers, that would be truly excellent. Additionally, procure some yellow-colored sweets to offer to Swami. Arrange for Swami's favorite dishes to be presented as Naivedya (sacred food offering), or prepare them in advance at home.
In the worship of Swami, the sincerity of one's devotion is paramount; therefore, perform the worship according to the preparations you are able to make. One should serve Swami wholeheartedly. After the worship is concluded, recite the Tarak Mantra. It is recommended to chant the mantra "Shri Swami Samarth" 108 times and to recite the hymns (Stotras) dedicated to Swami.
