Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aditya Thackeray has strongly criticized the Maharashtra government, claiming they broke promises to women participating in the Ladki Bahin Yojana. He says the government didn't deliver on its commitments to women before the elections.

Thackeray highlighted that woman in Delhi, where the BJP governs, receive Rs. 2,500 under a comparable program. In contrast, women in Maharashtra only receive Rs. 1,500. He questioned why Maharashtra's women receive less money than those in Delhi. He stated that the state government was supposed to provide Rs 2,100 this time but didn't. He promised that if his party were in power, they would ensure that women in Maharashtra received Rs. 3,000.

Thackeray also stated that the Ladki Bahin Yojana's funding has been substantially decreased. He mentioned that the government allocated Rs. 46,000 crore to the scheme last year, but this year it has been reduced to Rs 36,000 crore. He believes this reduction is a strategy to exclude beneficiaries and limit the scheme's impact, and he insisted that all eligible women should receive the benefits fairly.
