One was killed, another injured in a firing between two rival groups in Ahilyanagar district of Maharashtra on Thursday evening, February 12. The incident took place in Ghodegaon, Nevasa taluka, due to an old rivalry between two groups. 

In the firing, Nitin Vilas Shirsath (33) died, while Suraj Fulmali (23) from the rival group was seriously injured. "This evening in Goregaon, which is a town area, an incident occurred at a hospital involving Nitin Shirsat and another person, Suraj Fulmali. They had a dispute with each other during which one side opened fire," said SP Somnath Gharge.

According to reports, the incident in Ghodegaon took place over a dispute over the parking lot at the cattle market. This is the second incident of gunfire in Sonai police station limits in two days. Rohit Darandale was shot by two people in Amalner over an old dispute. One accused has been arrested and the other is absconding.
