The Samruddhi Highway has witnessed a significant surge in accidents. Despite the government's efforts to curb these incidents, there has been no decline in accident rates. In response, a fresh measure has been implemented to address this issue. Drivers using the Samruddhi Highway will now undergo alcohol testing, as stated by Minister Dada Bhuse, aiming to mitigate the rising accident trend.

The number of accidents on the Samruddhi Highway has increased, with a recent incident resulting in the tragic death of 25 passengers after a travel bus caught fire. Multiple accidents on this route have claimed lives, prompting the administration to implement preventive measures. Air pressure monitoring systems have been installed, and drivers travelling on this highway will now undergo alcohol tests, as stated by Minister Dada Bhuse during his review of the Samruddhi Highway in Jalna.

"Drivers on the Samruddhi Highway will soon undergo alcohol tests. A few days ago, a tragic accident involving a private bus occurred near Sindkhed Raja in Buldhana on the Samruddhi Highway, claiming the lives of at least 25 people. The driver of the bus had consumed alcohol, leading to the accident. As a result, this decision has been implemented," Bhuse stated.
