The Maharashtra Public Service Commission has come out with the results of its state services main exam for the year 2019. Wasima Sheikh Mehboob, a resident of village Joshi Sangvi, Taluka Khandhar Dist Nanded, secured third position in the state in the MPSC examination in the open category. She has been declared eligible for the post of Deputy Collector. Wasima’s father is mentally ill, mother works as a laborer while her two brothers drive rickshaws. She achieved this rare success under extreme pressure. She is currently holding the post of State Tax Inspector in Nagpur. Wasima said that she always read the news of the success of dutiful government officials in the newspapers, so she decided to become a government official. After graduating from the Open University, she left for Pune to prepare for the Maharashtra Public Service Commission examination.

Wasima has made the name of Nanded district famous all over Maharashtra by passing the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) exams 2019 and set a new example for Muslim students.
