Photos and videos of several women victims in the widely discussed Ashok Kharat sexual exploitation case are being widely circulated across social media platforms, raising serious concerns over privacy and dignity. Despite repeated appeals from authorities and activists urging people not to share such sensitive content, the circulation has continued unabated. The incident has sparked outrage, with many calling for stricter action against those responsible for amplifying the trauma of the victims. Officials have stressed that sharing such material not only violates the law but also causes further emotional harm to the affected women and their families.

Taking strong cognisance of the matter, the police have initiated action against individuals involved in sharing the objectionable content, marking a significant step in the case. In what is being described as the first such action in the state, a case has been registered against three persons for circulating videos and photos of the victims. According to preliminary information, two of the accused are residents of Kopargaon in Ahilyanagar district, while the third is from Majalgaon in Beed district. Authorities have reiterated that strict legal action will be taken against anyone found engaging in such activities.

As per police sources, a case has been filed against Rahul Shinde, a resident of Kopargaon in Ahilyanagar, for allegedly sharing videos of the victims in multiple WhatsApp groups. Investigations revealed that Yogesh Aadhav, who reportedly supplied the videos to him, has also been booked in connection with the case. In addition, Yogesh Garje from Majalgaon in Beed district has been named in the FIR for his involvement in circulating the material. Police officials have warned that further arrests are likely as the probe continues, and urged citizens to act responsibly and refrain from sharing such content.
