The Maharashtra government has decided to re-open gyms and salons in Maharashtra from June 28 and guidelines pertaining to it will be issued soon.

However only haircuts will be allowed in the salon. Shaving will not be allowed right now and wearing face masks will be mandatory. All such facilities have remained shut since the nationwide lockdown was first imposed late in March.Wearing mask will be compulsory for both the hairdresser and customer, said the minister and Shiv Sena leader Anil Parab.Although the state has been given the green light to start a salon, beauty parlors and spas have not been allowed to start immediately. Social distancing, use of masks and sanitizer should be used strictly by salon operators. 

The state authorities has not taken any decision on allowing religious gatherings, said Maharashtra Minister Aslam Sheikh.
