Beed district of Maharashtra has been witnessing a surge in crime over the past few days, bringing it into the spotlight, while murder of Massajog Sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh still under investigation another video of a brutal assault went viral in which, police have detained Dada Khindkar, the brother-in-law of Dhananjay Deshmukh.
Khindkar has been actively seen alongside Deshmukh in various protests seeking justice in the late Santosh Deshmukh murder case. A video of Khindkar assaulting a youth went viral. Although Khindkar claimed the video is old, the police took swift action against him.
The main person who is assaulting the young man is Sarpanch of Bedukwadi village Dada Khindkar. Khindkar is Dhananjay Deshmukh's brother-in-law.
In a viral clip of over 1 minute, a young man was brutally beaten with sticks by a group of men in a farm field. While a man instructs the person to hit the youth on his feet, later the video shows the youth shouting in pain, with blood marks on his shirt.

Khindkar voluntarily surrendered to the police. He has a history of criminal cases, with as many as 12 cases registered against him. These include six at Pimpalner police station, four at Shivajinagar police station in Beed, and two at Pethbeed police station. The charges against him include life-threatening assault on a government servant, attempted murder, and highway robbery. He is currently in the custody of Pimpalner police in connection with an assault case.
Meanwhile, questions are being raised about the apparent contradiction—how can someone advocating for justice for Santosh Deshmukh be involved in such violent acts? As the case unfolds, all eyes are on how Dhananjay Deshmukh will respond to this controversy.
