Big decision! Param Bir Singh transferred, Hemant Nagrale to be new Mumbai Police Commissioner

The Maha Vikas Aghadi in it's 15-month tenure has faced many crises, the latest being the arrest of police officer Sachin Vaze in connection with an explosive-laden SUV found parked outside billionaire Mukesh Ambani’s house last month.  few days ago, the demand for removal of Home Minister Anil Deshmukh was strong. On the other hand, there was talk of replacing the Commissioner of Police. Against this backdrop, high level meeting were held with the Chief Minister at Varsha Bungalow till midnight yesterday. Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh will be replaced by Maharashtra Director General of Police Hemant Nagarale. Sources say that the Thackeray government has taken this big decision.State Director General of Police Hemant Nagarale had come to Varsha Bungalow to meet Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. The meeting was also attended by Commissioner of Police Parambir Singh and Home Minister Anil Deshmukh. The meeting discussed the issue of Sachin Waze at length. The meeting started at around 9 pm on Tuesday and lasted for about four hours. The minister and police officer left from Varsha bungalow after midnight.A meeting was held at the Home Minister's bungalow today and a major change has been made in the Mumbai Police Force. Rajneesh Sheth has been given additional charge of the state's Director General of Police and Sanjay Pandey has been given charge of the Maharashtra State Security Corporation. Parambir Singh has been given the responsibility of Home Guard.Anil Deshmukh on Wednesday tweeted,"Big decision of the government..
