Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut on Tuesday on being asked if Shiv Sena will fight Bihar assembly elections in alliance with NCP said, "Shiv Sena will contest 40-50 seats, there is no talk about alliance with anyone till now. I'll go to Patna next week. Local parties including that of Pappu Yadav want to talk to us"

Bihar will go to the polls on October 28, November 3, and 7 for the 243 member assembly. The results will be declared on November 10. The election will be contested between the BJP- Janata Dal (U) alliance against the Congress- Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) besides others. 

Maharashtra’s ruling party has decided to field party chief Uddhav Thackeray, his son Aditya and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut and several others to campaign for its candidates in the upcoming Bihar assembly election 2020.
