BJP leader Kirit Somaiya has filed a complaint against Dhananjay Munde with the Election Commission of India for non-disclosure and concealment of facts about wives, children and properties.

Dhananjay Munde's admission of his extra-marital relationship and having children has created a major political controversy in Maharashtra. Trouble seems to be mounting for Maharashtra Social Justice Minister Dhananjay Munde, who is facing rape allegations. A Mumbai-based singer has alleged that Munde has raped her on several occasions since 2006.

Responding to these allegations, Munde in press note said the allegations were an attempt to "blackmail him and extort money".

The minister said he was in a "mutual relationship" with the sister of the complainant and has two children out of the relationship.

Munde however has denied the allegations and called it an attempt to blackmail. In a statement issued, Munde has said that the complainant was the younger sister of a lady with whom he was in a relationship since 2003. Munde said his relationship with the complainant's sister was known to his family and he had even fostered two kids out of the relationship.
