The ruling Shiv Sena party and the opposition party BJP are at loggerheads over the Mumbai Metro car shed at Kanjurmarg. Meanwhile, the decision of the Bombay High Court staying the allotment of salt pan land in Kanjurmarg area of Mumbai for the construction of an integrated Metro car shed has come as a shock to the Uddhav Thackeray-led Mahavikas Aghadi government. Meanwhile, BJP leader Ashish Shelar has slammed the state government once again lashed out at the Thackeray government.

"The ego of an arrogant king and a luxurious prince is greater than every development project of Mumbaikars," he said in an indirect jibe at Uddhav Thackeray and son Aaditya."

"Metro was opposed in Girgaon. Then, not only Samrudhi Highway, Coastal Road, Wadhwan Port but also Mumbai-Delhi Corridor was opposed. Only opposition, opposition, and opposition to every development project," said Shelar.

Shelar has also alleged that Mumbai's development projects have been strangulated by personal ego. He also said that ruling Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government is eyeing bullet train land in Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) for the metro car shed.
