Supermax Company employees in Thane have begun protesting outside Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's residence. Workers have assembled in large numbers, holding placards. A sizable force of police has been stationed in the area since the protest began.

In Thane, Supermax was a large blade-making business based close to Teen Hat Naka. For the past three years, the employees here have not received their salaries. Three years have passed since this company was shut down. Since then, the owner has not made any payments to the workers of this business. The workers have been protesting for their pay for the past few months.

When Eknath Shinde was Maharashtra's chief minister last year, the workers staged a protest. Local officials, Eknath Shinde, local corporators, and MLAs had promised the workers that they would receive their money back at that time. The workers haven't yet gotten their money, though. At last, all of these workers have demonstrated on the street outside the home of now-Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
