Elections for the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, which is known as the richest corporation in the country, are expected to be held in February 2021. But given the covid-19 outbreak, how exactly will the election be conducted? Will it be postponed? Such questions are being raised. Central Election Commission Chairman UPS Madan will be holding a meeting with Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation officials today. Therefore, everyone's attention is focused on today's meeting.

Political parties have started gearing up for the municipal elections since last year. This year's election is likely to see a match between BJP and Shiv Sena. The BJP has been trying to capture the keys of the Shiv Sena-ruled Mumbai Municipal Corporation for the last several years. However, curiosity has built whether the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation elections will be held on time or the election will be postponed due to Corona.

Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation had written a letter to the State Election Commission in this regard. BMC is the largest municipal corporation in Asia. Municipal elections will be held in February 2022. There is about 9 months left for the election. But considering the current dire situation, the municipality has already started preparing for it by giving priority to the question of security.

The number of corona patients in Mumbai is now slowly declining. But experts also predict a third wave. Therefore, if the situation worsens in the near future, it will be important to see whether the municipal elections will be held on time or postponed.  Therefore, everyone's attention is focused on what exactly will be decided in today's meeting with the Chairman of the Election Commission.
