Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: A 25-year-old man was arrested after allegedly stalking and harassing a 26-year-old female professor in the MGM area. The accused, identified as Taiban Kalim Khan, a resident of Kailasnagar, had reportedly been following the woman for over a week. The incident occurred on May 2 Saturday.

According to reports, the professor travels to her college daily at around 9:30 am via Mondha Naka and Seven Hill. Over the past seven to eight days, the accused had been continuously stalking her on a two-wheeler. Initially, the woman ignored his behavior, but he allegedly escalated the harassment by making obscene gestures. On Saturday at 10:00 AM, the professor confronted the accused in the MGM area and questioned his actions. Instead of responding appropriately, the accused reportedly argued with her in a rude manner.

The confrontation drew the attention of local residents, along with a friend of the woman’s brother, who rushed to the spot. Enraged by the situation, the crowd physically assaulted the accused. Police later arrived at the scene and took the accused into custody. A case has been registered at Jinsi Police Station, and further investigation is underway under the supervision of Senior Police Inspector Shivaji Budhwant.
