Ashok alias Bhai Jagtap of the Congress on Tuesday in the Assembly moved a privilege motion against film actor Kangana Ranaut over her remarks comparing Mumbai to Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) in the Maharashtra Legislative Council.

The Congress leader moved a privilege motion against Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut for ‘defaming Mumbai’.

Ramraje Naik Nimbalkar, Maharashtra Legislative Council Chairman, accepted the motion, saying, “I have accepted the breach of privilege of motion. In the absence of a committee for it, I am going to decide on it (on the motion).”

Kangana Ranaut's tweets comparing Mumbai city to Pakistan occupied Kashmir angered many politicians, actors and citizens. After the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, actress Kangana Ranaut said she feared Mumbai Police more than the "movie mafia".

Sanjay Raut asked Kangana not to return to Mumbai after the actor compared Mumbai with Pakistan occupied Kashmir.

Kangana said that Sanjay Raut had threatened her not to come back to Mumbai, "Sanjay Raut Shiv Sena leader has given me an open threat and asked me not to come back to Mumbai, after Aazadi graffitis in Mumbai streets and now open threats, why Mumbai is feeling like Pakistan occupied Kashmir?"
