COVID-19: BMC seals Suniel Shetty's building in South Mumbai

Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has sealed 'Prithvi Apartments' building located at Altamount Road, South Mumbai due positive Covid-19 cases. Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty also resides in the same building. 

Sunil Shetty's entire family is safe, said BMC Assistant Commissioner Prashant Gaikwad. However an official statement from the Shetty's remains awaited. 

Meanwhile, Mumbai reported 558 fresh Covid-19 cases during the day and 15 deaths, taking the count of infections to 7,27,694 and the toll to 15,627.

Maharashtra reported 8,535 new COVID-19 cases, 6,013 recoveries and 156 deaths in the last 24 hours. Total cases stand at 61,57,799 while total recoveries are 59,12,479. Death toll meanwhile has reached to 1,25,878. There are 1,16,165 active cases of Coronavirus in the state.
