The Maharashtra government on Tuesday announced a 12% increase in dearness allowance (DA) for employees under the unrevised pay scale of the 5th Pay Commission. The revised DA, raised from 443% to 455%, takes effect from July 1, 2024.

According to a Government Resolution, the revised DA will be paid in cash along with the salary for February 2025. Employees will also receive arrears for the period between July 1, 2024, and January 31, 2025.
