The Bombay high court on Monday on petition of Parambir Singh's lawyer Dr Jaishri Patil has ordered CBI to start a preliminary inquiry within 15 days into corruption allegations of Singh against Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh.

Opposition leader Devendra Fadnavis has once again targeted Thackeray government over the silence of Chief Minister into corruption allegations of Singh against Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh.

Fadnavis said,"Surprisingly, the Chief Minister does not comment on any issue in front of the media. The Chief Minister should take a stand in this matter respecting the position, respecting the family from which he comes. Fadnavis has said that otherwise there will be suspicion among the people against him."

Home Minister should resign, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray ask for his resignation, his resignation must be done on moral grounds. Anil Deshmukh should not remain in this post. If he is acquitted, he can be reinstated in the cabinet. The High Court has given a very correct decision. If any defect is found in this inquiry, FIR should be registered. The recovery work was being done with the blessings of the ministers in the government. The High Court has taken strict action in this regard. Welcoming this decision, the CBI inquiry will reveal everything. Many people tried to prevent a CBI inquiry. Fadnavis demanded the resignation of Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, saying the Rashmi Shukla report was an attempt to disprove how Parambir Singh's letter was false.
