Dharavi: 11 year old girl helps mother to sell fish after father died of covid

Due to coronavirus many people lost their loved ones. The pandemic also impacted the livelihood of many like daily wage workers, street vendors etc. Many children lost their parents. Due to which future of many children looks bleak. In a similar situation, a 11-year old girl from Dharavi, Mumbai Vaibhavi Kharatmol, lost her father due to covid. Vaibhavi's whole life has now changed after she lost the only bread winner in her house. 

Vaibhavi at a young age, is now helping her mother in selling fish to earn moeny. Vaibhavi's father before he contracted covid was in the business of selling fish and his wife used to run the house. But Vaibhavi's father died after he tested covid positive after which her mother took up her father's business. Her mother decided to start a fish business so that she could have at least a two-course meal at home and take care of her daughter.

11-year-old Vaibhavi also decided to help her mother in the busines. Along with her mother, she also sells fish in the fish market. Although schools have been closed due to the coronavirus pandemic. At present online classes are being conducted amid the pandemic. Therefore, Vaibhavi from 8 in the morning to 10:30 helps her mother in the fish market. After which she attends school online.

Since she doesn't have a smartphone at home, the neighbors help her with a smartphone as long as she has school time.
