A major fire broke out at a godown on the second floor of the old Lakshmi Niwas building near Dombivli station. Due to the flames of the fire the area was engulfed in the smoke. Three fire tenders were rushed at the spot to douse the blaze.

The cause of the fire has not yet been ascertained. It is also learned that the building has been declared dangerous. Will Kalyan-Dombivali Municipal Corporation take action against the concerned godown after this incident remainsa vital question.
