Dussehra Speech: World looking up to India to overcome problems, says Mohan Bhagwat

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) held its annual Vijaydashmi Utsav in Maharashtra's Nagpur city on Tuesday (October 24). Noted singer Shankar Mahadevan was the chief guest of the Dussehra event. RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat addressed the event in the presence of other Sangh members. 

While addressing the Vijayadashmi Utsav, Bhagwat hailed India's presence on the global stage, saying India's pride is growing every year and the world is looking up to India to overcome problems."Every year, India's pride is increasing in the world... The G 20 summit held here (in India) was special. The hospitality of Indians was praised...People from different countries experienced our diversity...They saw our diplomatic skills as well as our honest goodwill," he added. 

It was the 98th RSS' ‘Vijayadashami Utsav’ in Nagpur. Sangh organises a program every year on Dussehra in Nagpur every year since its inception in 1925. Singer Shankar Mahadevan, who attended RSS’s Vijaydashami event as the chief guest, lauded the organisation for its contributions to safeguarding the idea of a unified India and its diverse cultural heritage. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Maharashtra deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis were among others who attended the event.
