Former Home Minister Anil Deshmukh's problems are increasing day by day. The Directorate of Recovery (ED) has summoned Anil Deshmukh to appear for questioning and he has been directed to appear at the ED office at 11 am today. According to the ED summons, Anil Deshmukh will be present at the ED office today for questioning.

The ED has arrested Anil Deshmukh's personal assistant Kundan Shinde and private secretary Sanjeev Palande after an interrogation late last night. Anil Deshmukh's residences in Mumbai and Nagpur were raided by ED officials yesterday. ED officials had questioned Deshmukh about the recovery allegations for about nine hours yesterday.

The ED had last month filed a case against Anil Deshmukh and some others under the Money Laundering Act. The CBI had initially registered a case as per the order of the Bombay High Court. The ED then reported the crime. Former Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh had made a serious allegation that Deshmukh had set a target of collecting Rs 100 crore from hotel and bar owners.
