Equity benchmark indices opened in the green on Tuesday with Sensex up by 282.18 points and Nifty up by 87.65 points.
At 9:17 am, the BSE S&P Sensex was up by 282.18 points or 0.71 per cent at 39,990.75 while the Nifty 50 was up by 87.65 points or 0.75 per cent at 11,756.80.
