Shiv Sena has supported the farmers' agitation on the Delhi border against the central government's agricultural laws. Now, on the suggestion of Maharashtra Chief Minister and party chief Uddhav Thackeray, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut will meet the protesting farmers today in Delhi.

Raut himself gave this information by tweeting. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray stood by the farmers in times of crisis."The Mahavikas Aghadi took many decisions in the interest of the farmers. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray stood firmly behind the farmers. On his suggestion, we are going to meet the protesting farmers at Ghazipur border today," Raut tweeted.

Shortly afterwards, Raut tweeted that he would meet Ghazipur farmers today at 1 p.m.

Farmers have been protesting on the different borders of the national capital since November 26 against the three newly enacted farm laws: Farmers' Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020; the Farmers Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Act 2020 and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020.
