In the past few days, the opposition has been seen trying to corner the government over various issues. From the loan waivers for farmers to the 56% salary given to ST (State Transport) employees, leaders of the Maha Vikas Aghadi have been targeting the Mahayuti government on multiple fronts. Amidst this, Aaditya Thackeray, leader and MLA from the Shiv Sena (UBT), made a post on X attacking the government. He compared the situation, saying that while there’s no money for the general public, the government is generously allocating funds from the treasury for ministers’ work.

In his post on X, Aaditya Thackeray said, “Last week we saw that ST employees are being given only 56% of their salaries, and it seems the same is happening with many government employees across Maharashtra. There is no money with the government for employees’ salaries, no funds for farmer loan waivers even as farmer suicides rise, no money to fulfill the promise made to beloved sisters before the elections, no money for the health system or for the supply of medicines,” he criticized.

“But there is money for ministers’ salaries, money for renovation of ministers’ bungalows, money for new vehicles in the ministers’ convoys—as stated by the Deputy Chief Minister in Kolhapur—money for beloved contractors, for grand celebrations, and for advertisements. There’s even money for purchasing new ST buses, that is, for contracts. What does this show? This government, elected thanks to the blessings of the Election Commission, is not a people-friendly government but one that serves its selfish interests!” said Aaditya Thackeray in a sharp attack.

Meanwhile, he also raised a series of questions: "During the time of the Maha Vikas Aghadi government, those who brought ST workers onto the streets—why are they silent now? Why aren’t they questioning the current government? Who will answer regarding the salaries of ST employees?"
