While rumors and discussions are circulating about the resignation of Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, there is no such proposal at the moment, said high-level sources in the NCP and Shiv Sena.
Deshmukh met NCP president Sharad Pawar at his residence in Delhi on Friday, prompting speculation that he might resign. Speaking to reporters outside after the discussion, Anil Deshmukh said, "I informed Pawar about the developments in Mumbai."

Sources in the NCP told Lokmat on Friday evening that there would be no political gains in forcing Anil Deshmukh to resign.
